Nicaragua
Nicaragua is perhaps most well known for it’s sensational landscapes and teeming wildlife however about 30 miles southeast of the capital Managua, there is Lake Nicaragua. The water is dirty, brown and polluted. The rubbish rolls in with the waves and is definitely not a place to swim.

Well don’t swim in lake nicaragua….they have infrastructure problems- they’re a 3rd world country and yes there’s some negatives… you know it’s not worth the time to explain what draws you to some places…you people need to stick to daytona beach and let the people that understand what nicaragua has to offer explore it without a bunch of negativity around them…………whatever

Talk about absolutely superficial! The lake is polluted so forget the whole country is about the lamest thing I have ever heard.
Nicaragua has a lot to offer and is much cheaper than neighboring Costa Rica which is a cheap place to fly into and out of from the US. So don’t blow it all away in relatively costly Costa Rica but spend it wisely in Nicaragua and have a nice time in a country that is not near as Americanized as its neighbor is.

Tony, Costa Rica will always be a better destination than Nicaragua, how can Nicaragua sustain turism if it cannot even sustain its own population. Last summer I went to Costa Rica and it rules.
